Calling All Earthy Goddess!

Hey there,

We are waiting on a new shipment of great new versatile mineral powders - lots of earthy tones. These are great for all occassions. Work makeup should be reserved while flattering your natural features.

We also have some fun purple and green shades. These are great for dressing up for night life or go really well with a tan.

Speaking of tans, remember that mineral makeup can be a great sunscreen booster. The titanium dioxide and the zinc oxide in most formulas are sunscreen ingredients. It is the amounts of these minerals in the formulas that moslty dictate the SPF rating. Please be sun safe. Use a good quality sunscreen that is as natural as you get. We currently have the soleo organic sunscreen in stock.

You can have fun in the sun - choose your times and duration to optimise vitamin D production. Don't over do it.

You are a Natural Goddess!

How to look after your skin without spending a fortune.

The Skin is the largest organ of the body. It helps your body detoxify, stay hydrated, and keep out toxins of many types. It will absorb 60% of what you put on it - so choose carefully.

I was taught to look after my skin at the age of ten or eleven. I was in grade five!

I started to (irregularly) clean, tone and moisterise at the age of eleven. My mum bought me Nutri-Metics because that was the brand she used. I continued to use that brand until I was about twenty-five. I did try Mary Kay when I was twenty-one but reacted poorly to it. I am now forty-five.

I did not have a regular skin care regime for some years from around 30 years of age until about 3 years ago.

I stopped wearing makeup at twenty-eight due to allergies and sensitivities. About four or so years ago I started using mineral makeup. It was not a success at first due to ingredients in the brand I first tried. I got itchy due to the bismuth oxychloride. I eventually found a brand I tolerated.

I then needed to start cleaning my face again.

Skin care products can be expensive. But they don't need to cost much.

Cleaning Your Skin
You can use a plain cold pressed, organic oil to clean  your skin, including makeup removal. I use either apricot kernel oil or avocado seed oil. Olive and coconut oils are also good options.

Toning
Witch hazel is very good. It comes in an alcohol base, so if you are allergic I would suggest trying aloe vera gel.

Moisterising
I use aloe vera gel from my home grown aloe vera plantation. The oil you cleaned with is an option.

Special Areas - The Eyes
I strongly recommend spending the money on a good organic Rose Hip Oil for dabbing on your eyelids. You only need a small amount.

Your skin is very important in keeping you healthy - one of it's jobs is to help your body obtain vitamin D. Be careful to get enough unprotected sun exposure - and make sure you use the right type of suncreen.

You ARE  a Goddess.
